A Mole in the House …

As we were locking doors and turning lights off last night, I heard a very faint scratching in the dining room.  Turning the lights on, I heard it again and noticed one of the curtains move slightly.  Given the fact that the cats continue to bring an array of different rodents and rabbits into the house, usually alive, I cursed as I realised that I was going to have to somehow catch whatever it was. before heading to bed. A visit to Upton and Farm Fest 2014

Whilst visiting friends in Upton this weekend, I finally get to Parsonage Farm where Farm Fest 2014 is taking place.  Upton is a pretty hamlet in Hampshire, north of Andover, with the River Swift a winterbourne (a river that usually only flows after wet weather) running through it.  With the continuing balmy weather (how we are loving this summer!), my friend and I leave the seven children, ranging in ages from 3 to 12, under the supervision of the two fathers…. Abbotts Ann Nursery’s day out at Danebury Hill Fort

Another day and it must be another child’s event at a school, a church or somewhere else.  These last few weeks of school seem to be more manic than usual, but that could be to do with having a year 6 child with the end of primary school coming up (a bigger milestone for me or him?) and now having the Littlest at nursery.  Anyway, today I find myself with her in the midst of the Hampshire downs at Danebury Hill fort.
