This month the eldest of the Tribe is submitting a poem that she wrote at school, entitled ‘I love my home country’. Abbotts Ann is obviously still close to her heart.<\/p>\n

Surrounding the glimmering River Thames,
\nStands the majestic Houses of Parliament.
\nThe monumental London Eye and immense Big Ben,
\nAll of those wonderful buildings form my birthplace; London.
\nNext to the River Thames is where my life began.<\/p>\n

Your elephantine buildings and glistening waters of the Thames,
\nI love the rustling caramel leaves in the long Autumn months,
\nAnd the thick sheets of snow that layer up on the ground,
\nI will show my patriotism and loyalty always,
\nThe wonderful parks that I love to walk around,
\nAnd the huge apartment that I used to live in.<\/p>\n

Out of London on a two hour drive,
\nIn Hampshire,
\nMy second home and love,
\nThrough the town and through busy roads,
\nIs a small village, Abbotts Ann.<\/p>\n

A picturesque village,
\nWith psychedelic fields of green,
\nAnd beautiful evergreens everywhere,
\nThe small village school I can remember deeply,
\nAnd stables of horses and ponies.<\/p>\n

Seeing the village forms a warm glow in my heart,
\nAbbotts Ann is where my heart is and always will be.<\/p>\n

To smell the fresh air of the village,
\nAnd to hear the trickling water of the brook
\nIs enough for me to love it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
