The days are shorter now and I notice the days of playing outside until late are almost over. \u00a0At this time of year I always feel rather restless – it must be the change in the seasons, but it definitely gives me itchy feet. \u00a0<\/a>However, at the same time, I marvel at the stunning beauty around us. \u00a0The light at this time of year is unique; with the sun slighter lower in the sky, there really is a golden glow over the countryside when the skies are clear. \u00a0In the fields behind us the farmer baled all the hay that had been ploughed a few weeks ago, leaving great stacks of hay bales scattered on our horizon. \u00a0All the Tribe love how our view changes when they appear and they are soon out in the field playing around them. \u00a0<\/p>\n

One evening Father of the Tribe decides that he wants to take some family shots up in the field during what’s known as the ‘golden hour’. The Tribe having finished supper and most of their homework, rush out with me followed by the cats. \u00a0Over the next hour or so the Tribe laugh, and play as FotT takes photographs. \u00a0The results are lovely and as the bales are collected a couple of days later, I’m so glad that we made the effort to go and enjoy this magical time of day and year. \u00a0We’ll have to wait another year before we can do this again.<\/a><\/p>\n
